Joe Kapp, former quarterback and head coach, led the Minnesota Vikings to their first Super Bowl and exemplifies leadership and integrity. He played college football at UC Berkeley, had a professional career in the CFL and NFL, and later coached the California Golden Bears. A member of both the Canadian and College Football Halls of Fame, he lives in Los Gatos, California.
His son, J. J. Kapp, is a former trial attorney with the Santa Clara County Public Defender’s Office and holds a BA from Chico State and a JD from Santa Clara University; he lives with his wife Pat and their two children.
Robert G. Phelps, a former attorney turned screenwriter and filmmaker with an MFA from UCLA, owns Robert G. Phelps Productions LLC and has written for sports publications.
