The ‘Frenchy’ D’Amour Rink based out of the Trail Curling Club won the BC championships in 1947 and went on to compete at the Canadian championships the same year.
In 1948, D’Amour Rink won the BC championships for the second consecutive year. That same year the team became the first BC rink to win the prestigious Brier, emblematic of Canadian Curling supremacy.
