During the 1945-46 season, the Victoria Dominoes Senior A men’s basketball team went undefeated in twenty league games. The Dominoes amassed a 12-0 record in the playoffs, capturing the provincial, the Alberta-BC, and the Western Canadian titles.

The Dominoes also amassed a 14-5 record in exhibition play, which included a victory over the touring Harlem Globetrotters.

In 1946, they won the Canadian championship for the fifth time, beating the Eastern champion Windsor Assumptions, in three straight games by scores of 53-35, 51-37, and 47-36.

In 1971, the Dominoes were named BC’s Basketball Team of the Century in a media poll.
