The 1944-45 Vancouver Hedlunds won the BC Senior Women’s Championship by defeating Victoria.
 
The Canadian finals were held in Vancouver before a full house of 300 fans. They took a best-of-five series against the Edmonton Army and Navy Pats (which included members of the famous Edmonton Grads) to win the Canadian women’s basketball championship. The score of the final game was 38-34.
 
The 1945 championship was the fourth for the Hedlunds, who won the title five consecutive years from 1942-46.
