After dedicated training throughout the autumn, winter and spring of 1931-32, the Vancouver Rowing Club’s double sculls pairing of Ned Pratt and Noel de Mille won the right to represent Canada at the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles after defeating a Winnipeg team at the Olympic Trials in St. Catherines, Ontario.
Pratt and de Mille would go on to win the bronze medal in the 2000m double sculls event at the 1932 Olympics.
