BC Sports Hall of Fame Seeking Nominations for 2018 Induction Class

Vancouver, B.C. – Do you know someone in our province who has made a significant contribution to the sports landscape that deserves to be honoured? The BC Sports Hall of Fame is calling on members of the public for nominations for its 2018 Induction class. The deadline for nominations is October 1st, 2017 and the 52nd induction class will be announced in December. Induction will take place at the Banquet of Champions induction ceremony on May 31, 2018.
Allison Mailer, Executive Director of the BC Sports Hall of Fame says: “The BC Sports Hall of Fame has the distinct honour of celebrating our province’s athletic history, and induction as an Honoured Member is one of this province’s highest sports honours. If you know of someone deserving of recognition, please consider nominating them in the BC Sports Hall of Fame, where the entire province can celebrate their achievement and learn about their impact on sport.”
The BC Sports Hall of Fame preserves and honours BC’s sport heritage by recognizing extraordinary achievements in sport. All nominees must have attained a high level of excellence and have brought honour to BC sport through their passion, commitment and dedication to sport.

Categories for consideration are: Athlete, Coach/Builder, Pioneer, Media, Team, and the WAC Bennett award. Please note: full selection criteria can be found on the nomination form.
