BC Sports Hall of Fame Honours Induction Class of 2023

One of the biggest nights on the sports calendar was a huge success as the BC Sports Hall of Fame’s annual gala was held at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver on June 1st. More than 600 were in attendance as the Class of 2023 was officially inducted (with a record turnout of 180 for the Honoured Members Reception presented by the BC Sports Hall of Fame Foundation the day before at the Hall of Champions at the BC Sports Hall of Fame at BC Place – Wednesday, May 31st).

The Class of 2023 was formally celebrated at the Gala, with tens of thousands of dollars raised through the silent auction, live auction, raffle and 50/50. The Induction Week efforts led to a gross of $390,000 in funds raised and a net surplus of $141,000, the highest gross on record and among the highest net results ever produced by the BC Sports Hall of Fame family (more details to come in the July edition of Inspirations). Funds will go to support the Hero in You and other inspirational children’s and youth programs delivered by the BC Sports Hall of Fame and its partners.
